HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS Released: November 17, 2000 Not an entirely useless movie by any means, this Ron Howard family pic has lots of wholesomeness and retains a lot of the original story. Jim Carrey does turn in a great performance even if you cannot see his face. It's a big Hollywood movie that wasn't required and while fun to watch was instantly forgettable. I'd like to see Howard actually turn in a movie that has the feeling of his older movies, ala "Parenthood" and "Splash". Nowadays, he specializes in generic. Like I said, watchable but forgettable... 102 Minutes Imagine Entertainment/Universal |
