Now this is some funny stuff. In the tradition of other "mockumentaries" which preceded it, ""Best In Show" again teams up many of the creative minds responsible for "This Is Spinal Tap" and "Waiting For Guffman". Essentially a fake behind-the-scenes at the Westminster dog show, this was apparently improvised overall. It works because it's funny and it's funny because you can believe that such goofy antics probably do go on. Directed by Spinal Tap and Guffman man Christopher Guest and starring himself and an ensemble cast of brilliant comedians such as Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy, Michaek McKean and Fred Willard among others, this is a perfect movie to rent on a night when the typical Hollywood pap seems tiring to your movie senses.
