Based on the 1960's television series I Spy. A professional athlete (boxer - Eddie Murphy) has to help a U.S. government agent (Owen Wilson) recover a missing "invisible" jet. Betty Thomas, quickly shaping up to be the most bankable female director these days, offers up a pretty enjoyable buddy spy movie that entertains. Fellow cast members Famke Janssen, Malcolm McDowell and Gary Cole add to the overall fun factor. While the rapport between Wilson and Murphy is genuine, you might enjoy this more as a rental rather than a $100 night out at the multiplex with the family unit in tow.
