A young man discovers that his ham radio set can reach 30 years into the past - to communicate with his father (Dennis Quaid), a firefighter who died in an accident. The man desperately tries to find a way to change history and save his father's life. Sure, people are saying it's unbelievable that you can skew time bouncing ham radio signals off the Northern Lights but they convinced us of much more baffling logistics in the "Back To The Future" movies. This is a fine piece of entertainment that is really a film about the bond between a Father and his Son more than a time travel sci-fi opus.
