Gwyneth Paltrow stars as Sylvia Plath. If you enjoyed seeing Nicole Kidman playing Virginia Woolf, then you might like this too. One thing for sure, both Woolf and Plath appear to have led rather boring and self-indulgent lives but managed to become great writers and poets. Transferring this to film makes it rather tough going for the viewer. But Paltrow is one of this generation's great actresses and she does put in a grade A performance here.
