STUCK ON YOU

Released: December 12, 2003

I'm a Farrelly brothers fan so I'm biased. First of all, Bobby and Peter Farrelly have made a career on using generally un-politically correct subject matter and making it funny. They made fun of dumb guys, one-handed bowlers, multiple personality sufferers, stalkers, overweight people and now they aim their humor cannon at conjoined twins. "Stuck On You" is not as all-out bust-a-gut laugh-o-rama as past Farrelly films, but still very good. And with a heart. I was smiling solid for the last hour. Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear are great in their roles as conjoined twins. The Farrelly's have a knack for luring big A-list actors into their lair. This time, in addition to Damon and Kinnear we are treated to performances from Cher, Eva Mendes, Griffin Dunne, Seymour Cassel, Luke Wilson and the uncredited Frankie Muniz and Meryl Streep. I have no idea what un-PC thing they attempt next but I hear they have plans for their take on The Three Stooges. Whatever they do, they'll likely do it with heart as only they can.
