The historical elements of the real battle over Texas which culminated in and around the Alamo is pretty interesting. This movie, however, even as an action movie, fails to excite or generate much interest. The cast, too, is pretty uninspired, given what they have to work with within the script. Billy Bob Thornton and Dennis Quaid are pretty much it for actors you'd know and the rest, however talented, sleepwalk through this historical yawner. The battle scenes do not save this one. You WILL forget THIS Alamo...
