Released: June 8, 2001

Canadian raised Ivan Reitman returns to the director's chair again after 1998's so-so Harrison Ford/Anne Heche comedy "6 Days And 7 Nights". Back in familiar and passionate "Ghostbusters" styled territory, Reitman gathers David Duchuvny, Julianne Moore, Orlando Jones and Seann William Scott for a wacky sci-fi comedy epic that entertains much more than I thought it would. The chemistry between the four main leads compares well to that of the "Ghostbusters" cast, the effects are pretty damn good and while not packed tight with laughs it has enough curiousities going for it to be a happy movie experience. The product placement is required for the plot but to employ it as the conclusion of the movie was disappointing. Overall, it was fun to watch and it's nice to see Reitman directing again.
