In the middle of her family's move to the suburbs, a sullen 10-year-old girl wanders into a world ruled by witches and monsters, where humans are changed into animals. This is clearly the kind of animated movie Disney would love to create so its no wonder that Disney's Pixar division licensed all of director Hayao Miyazaki's films. This is clearly one of the most original and ambitous animated films I've seen. In fact, it's the most popular film in Japan, animated or not! It tells a story that is not only for children, adults can become lost in it as well. Instead of the in-house Disney retreads, try out "Spirited Away"...
