If there wasn't already a fourth "Die Hard" movie planned, "Hostage" could have fit the bill quite easily. Bruce Willis plays a small town cop who is forced to be a main player in a hostage situation involving two sets of hostages. French director Florent Siri pulls off a very stylish action thriller that is both entertaining and brutally violent. It ranks right up there with the remake of "Assault On Precinct 13" as one of the most violent films of 2005.
