The new Jonathan Demme re-imagining of "The Manchurian Candidate" is a tad too smart for the typical multiplex crowd and definitely for the older grey haired lady and her equally greyed female friend who felt compelled to talk throughout the film along with removing their shoes and socks to rest their feet on the seats to my immediate right side. Proper movie theatre ettiquette is rarely observed these days. But I digress. Starring Denzel Washington, Meryl Streep and Jon Voight.
