BAD BOYS II

Part one of this buddy cop movie came out in 1995 and it's doubtful "popular demand" forced this sequel to be made. This is purely a paycheque performance from leads Martin Lawrence and Will Smith, who play a pair of bickering, annoying cops out to catch some bad guys while destroying the city as they go. The "humor" consists mainly of crudeness and simply unfunny gags. The action is quite good, however. But at an inexplicable 150 Minutes, this movie is easily one hour too long. Nervously, I scanned director Michael Bay's resume and his best film seems to be "The Rock"...
