It's better than "U-571" when it comes to submarine movies. It's set abord the U.S.S. Tiger Shark in the Atlantic during WW II. It begins with a rescue of three survivors of an English Hospital Ship. There is suspense and the film creates a genuinely good submarine atmosphere. Worth a look if "Das Boot" is already rented.
