Writer Larry Cohen continues his facination with the telephone - he wrote "Phone Booth" too. In "Cellular" he turns his attention to cell phones. Chris Evans plays a young man receives an emergency phone call on his cell phone from an older woman (Kim Basinger). The catch? The woman claims to have been kidnapped; and the kidnappers have targeted her husband and child next. While not overly innovative, the predictable story is a fine popcorn flick and has a fun quality about it that kept me watching.
