ERIN BROCKOVICH

Released: March 17, 2000

Yeah, Julia Roberts and her breasts get top billing in this legal comedy/drama from "Sex, Lies And Videotape" director Steven Soderbergh. Hot on the heels of "A Civil Action" starring John Travolta comes yet another eco-legal flick. Like the Travolta movie, "Erin Brockovich" is based on a true story and it is both entertaining and disturbing. It's distrurbing because these types of eco cases are going on all over the country like as if it's just part of life now. Roberts is really on a winning streak and is showing to the industry that she's worth her big paychecks. Ten years after "Pretty Woman" and she's still got it. Rounded out with a good cast including Albert Finney and Aaron Eckhart as the man who wins Roberts' heart, this was a feel good movie I left the theatre feeling good about.
