Nicolas Cage stars as a multinational arms dealer in Andrew Niccol's "Lord Of War". Based on real events, the movie deals with the ugly side of getting rich by selling guns to warring nations. Despite looking like a mainstream Nicolas Cage movie, this is actually a much darker story than the trailers suggest. The movie earns every bit of its R rating. It may star Cage and Jared Leto but the subject matter is most definitely not the elixer of the mall multiplex crowd, which explains why I was among only a dozen or so of the people in attendance at the opening weekend screening. Also starring Bridget Moynahan and Ian Holm. Well worth seeing!
