BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE

Released: October 11, 2002

Leave it to Michael Moore, a card carrying member of the NRA, to expose that organization as an insensitive and dangerous institution. Moore tackles the gun issue in a wide manner, careful not to blame any one person or group. Rather, Moore uses comedy and blunt truths to paint his picture. Fear is a very powerful emotion. Once it overtakes a community then it just escalates from there. There are some sad pictures painted by listening to NRA's leader Charlton Heston while you get sanity and reason from Marilyn Manson. Moore lets no one off the hook of responsibility, not even Dick Clark or K-Mart. Chris Rock and Matt Stone also provide sane discussion. Moore's task is to exploit the uncaring forces in our society that by simply existing add to the decay of that society. Case in point is NRA's MANY visits to cities for pro-gun rallies right after a brutal gun killing spree. Watch "Bowling For Columbine". Laugh because it's funny. Cry because it's not a movie, it's real life.
