WHITE NOISE

Released: January 7, 2005

Michael Keaton plays a man who is contacted from beyond the grave by his murdered wife via EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena, when voices from the dead are captured on film or tape). This is an interesting concept for a film and a good idea in the wake of movies like "The Ring" and "Final Destination". Unfortunately, the concept has little plot to carry the movie. Keaton is excellent here, in his first big role since "Jackie Brown" in 1997. The movie looks great but the story kind of loses energy as it goes. Also starring Deborah Kara Unger, Chandra West and Ian McNeice. A Canadian/UK co-production.
