As only Garry Marshall can direct, here is yet another of his syrupy family films from the Disney-approved school of movie making. Unlike his "Pretty Woman", most, if not all, of his films since then have been exceedingly bright and happy. Which is not a bad thing. It's just what he does well. Just don't expect him to direct a horror film. Essentially a vehicle for Kate Hudson, the plot deals with her inheriting a bunch of kids when her sister dies. Funny situations result, including conflict with an inevitable cookie-cutter happy ending.
