TERMINAL, THE

Released: June 18, 2004

Steven Spielberg built his own airport terminal for this movie about an eastern European immigrant who finds himself stranded in JFK airport, and must take up temporary residence there. Tom Hanks plays the immigrant-in-limbo and Catherine Zeta-Jones plays the airline stewardess he meets during his long ordeal of living in the airport terminal. While parts of the film are too Spielberg for its own good, once I accepted this film's "world", I enjoyed it nicely for it's two hour duration. Hanks is good as the immigrant and Zeta-Jones is simply radiant. Kind of a low key summer movie from Spielberg but worth a watch...
