DUPLEX

Released: September 26, 2004

Yet another flop from director Danny DeVito following his less than stellar box office from "Death To Smoochy". Drew Barrymore and Ben Stiller provide decent performances in this updating of DeVito's own much better 1987 flick "Throw Momma From The Train". Stiller and Barrymore play a young couple who have a chance to move into a gorgeous duplex in the perfect New York neighborhood. All they have to do is bump off the current tenant, a cute little old lady (Eileen Essel). This died at the box office, barely making a quarter of its $40,000,000 budget back. And possibly for a good reason. Not as bad as the box office results but not much better either...
