Alex Proyas, the director of 2004's mega-budget computer generated Will Smith actioner "I, Robot", delivers an almost indie film here - and succeeds! Proyas also gave us "The Crow" and "Dark City" so it's fitting that he delivers his best work in smaller budget films. The basis of "Garage Days" is a rock band struggling to make it but not coming to terms with the fact they suck. This was beautifully acted by a bunch of new Australian actors and it was a joy to watch.
