HANNIBAL

Released: February 9, 2001

Third in the Lector trilogy, this time directed by Ridley Scott, "Hannibal" is more like a traditional slasher flick than either "Manhunter" or "Silence Of The Lambs". Anthony Hopkins is good as the sophisticated version of Jason from the "Friday The 13th" movies. Jodie Foster, who was either too busy or thought herself too good to be in this sequel, is replaced without missing a beat by Julianne Moore as Agent Starling. The violence is particularly gorey and the scene with ray Liotta is both gorey AND funny at the same time. This isn't quite as memorable as "Silence Of The Lambs" but sure was a hell of a lot better than "American Psycho".
