WIN A DATE WITH TAD HAMILTON!

Released: January 23, 2004

Robert Luketic decided not to direct the sequel to his "Legally Blonde" Reese Witherspoon starring hit and waited three years to make "Win A Date With Tad Hamilton!" (complete with exclamation mark). Well, the "Legally Blonde" sequel blew and "Tad Hamilton!" is actually a surpringly fun film. Like how "Down With Love" was a remake of a 50s styled love story made to look and feel like the 50s, "Tad Hamilton!" is a modern day story that *feels* like a 50s story. It's just so quaint and well behaved and innocent! In a good way, however! Kate Bosworth, possibly the cutest actres I've seen in the last couple years, is radiant here. She plays a small-town girl wins a date with a male celebrity through a contest. When the date goes better than expected, a love triangle forms between the girl, the male celebrity, and the girl's best friend. It's all good fun and refreshing to see in the face of all the negative fare seen at the multiplex of late. Also starring Topher Grace from TV's "That 70s Show", Nathan Lane, Sean Hayes, Gary Cole, Amy Smart, Stephen Tobolowsky and former soap star Josh Duhamel as Tad Hamilton.
