Porn legend John Holmes could have had it all. But drugs and crime dragged him down. This is the apparently more accurate version of his life after his porn successes. A version of his life was told, changed a lot though, in Paul Thomas Anderson's film "Boogie Nights" (1997). "Wonderland" is a bit of a foggy ride for the viewer but luckily there are some fine performances including Val Kilmer as Holmes plus Kate Bosworth, Lisa Kudrow, Carrie Fisher, Dylan McDermott, Tim Blake Nelson, Janeane Garofalo, Natasha Gregson Wagner, Christina Applegate, Eric Bogosian and Paris Hilton as a character appropriately named Barbie. Not for everyone, those who enjoyed "Boogie Nights" might enjoy this one too...
