This movie illustrates that despite Kim Basinger winning an Oscar for Best Supporting actress it doesn't seem to increase the quality of scripts given to her. As a result, the movies she has done since "L.A. Confidential" have been mediocre at best. This one is no exception. While people will go see this Chuck Russell ("Eraser") epic over her lions-in-africa movie from earlier this year, it suffers from bad scrpiting, bad acting and a large sense of boredom throughout. Too bad, cause it visually looked pretty good. Oh well. Christina Ricci also stars.
