A husband-and-wife team play detective, but not in the traditional sense. Instead, the happy duo helps others solve their existential issues. Dustin Hoffman and Lily Tomlin play the couple. Their new "client" is Jason Schwartzman, whose inclusion in the cast seems logical. This is from director David O. Russell, who gave us the quirky "Flirting With Disaster" with Ben Stiller. "Huckabees" is more out there than "Flirting" and veers into Wes Anderson territory ("Rushmore", The Royal Tenenbaums") - Schwartzman also appeared in "Rushmore". While not quite as bust-out funny as "Flirting With Disaster", it is still fun to watch the cast, which also includes Jude Law, Isabelle Huppert, Mark Wahlberg, Naomi Watts, Talia Shire and, inexplicably, country diva Shania Twain. Russell has also directed "Three Kings", which is a fave of mine. Rent this as a double bill with "Flirting With Disaster" and you'll be smiling...
