Just the perfect kind of mindless Summer blockbuster action movie that is void of anything memorable so no doubt it will be a huge smash. The first movie was a chance hit and clearly didn't need a sequel. Featuring Brendan Fraser who has yet to star in anything really good and Rachel Weisz, who'll likely get success now after years of obscurity. Movies like this are paper thin. With only bare plot to hang on to, the special effects are an affront to the fact it's 2001 and they could do so much better. I fell in and out of sleep throughout this movie and haven't felt this refreshed after a movie since "Jingle All The Way" with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad back in 1996.
