MONSTERS INC.

Released: November 2, 2001

New from the Pixar folks cames a fine animated action filled and humorous epic that will entertain older kids and younger adults alike. "Monsters, Inc." features the voices of Billy Crystal, John Goodman, James Coburn, Jennifer Tilly, Steve Buscemi, Bonnie Hunt, John Ratzenberger and Frank Oz. Even with all that star power bringing the characters alive you soon fall into the world of how the monsters go about their daily lives. Crystal and Goodman are the monster team at the factory that uses an inter-dimensional door portal system to gain access into children's rooms at night to scare them with the point being they "capture" the ensuing screams of the kids to feed the monster's city much like we use electricity. Well, kids are desensitized and aren't as scared of monsters as they used to be, forcing the monsters to think up new ways of harnessing energy. The evil dude in "Monsters, Inc." is played suitably by Steve Buscemi, who has no problem conveying creepiness in any film.
