HIGH CRIMES

Released: April 5, 2002

High powered lawyer Claire Kubik (Ashley Judd) finds her world turned upside down when her husband (James Caviezel), turns out to be someone she had no idea about despite being married to him for several years. She enlists the help of veteran lawyer Charlie Grimes, as played by Morgan Freeman. Judd and Freeman starred together in 1997's "Kiss The Girls" and the chemistry between the two makes for a decent Hollywood pairing. While the storyline seems to be just a notch above a TV Movie Of The Week, it was entertaining based just on the energy from the two leads. Good back up from Amanda Peet, Adam Scott and Bruce Davison. Directed by Carl Franklin who directed the far superior "One False Move" from 1991, which I suggest renting...
