Robert De Niro teams up again with his "This Boy's Life" (1993) director Michael Caton-Jones for a cop-killer drama. De Niro plays Detective Vincent La Marca, whose father was executed for a 1950s kidnapping of a child, grew up to become a police officer, only to see his own son become a murderer. James Franco plays his Son (Franco was Willem Dafoe's Son in "Spider-Man") and other top notch support comes from Frances McDormand, George Dzundza and fellow Caton-Jones vet Eliza Dushku, who also starred with De Niro in "This Boy's Life". While the story isn't ultra mind blowing, this WAS based on a true story so it is interesting to watch, especially De Niro and Franco...
