Stylish and dark entry that will remind viewers of David Cronenberg's "The Dead Zone" story premise. Adrien Brody plays a military veteran goes on a journey into the future, where he can foresee his death and is left with questions that could save his life and those he loves. Brody is perfect for the role of the disenfranchised ex-soldier while the rest of the cast is also grade A material. Also starring here are Keira Knightley, Kris Kristofferson, Kelly Lynch, Mackenzie Phillips, Brad Renfro and an almost unrecognizable Jennifer Jason Leigh. Directed by Brit director John Maybury, who has been very critical of The Oscars and Hollywood in general. Regardless, this is a pretty unique looking movie that is also deeper than most Hollywood fare you're likely to see at the local multiplex.
