EYE SEE YOU (AKA D-TOX)

Released: December 31, 2002

Originally a Universal property, "Eye See You" sat on the shelf since 1999 before finally getting a belated home video dumping in early 2003. Was it really so bad to be undeserving of a US theatrical release? Not really... Sylvester Stallone does a good job in this stalker/killer flick. Stallone plays a cop who comes undone after witnessing a brutal scene on the job. He checks into a rehab clinic that specializes in treating law enforcement officials. Soon, he finds that his fellow patients are being murdered one by one. It's not quite even up to "Cliffhanger" standards but don't write this one off too fast. For an action flick, it's actually quite intelligent. Also starring Charles Dutton, Polly Walker, Kris Kristofferson, Tom Berenger and Robert Patrick. From director Jim Gillespie, who did a similar stalker/killer movie for the teen market called "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (1997).
