The entire cast of the first flick returns in one of 2001's most anticipated movies. I'm sure most of the cast was looking forward to this after a series of flops followed the first "Pie" in 1999. Only Mena Suvari managed to get a bonifide hit after her role in the original "Pie", as we saw quite clearly in "American Beauty" (she then went on to do "American Virgin" - what's with these common titles?). So, we have Suvari joined by Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, Shannon Elizabeth, Alyson Hannigan, Natasha Lyonne, Tara Reid, Seann William Scott and of course Eugene Levy in a movie that doesn't tamper with the formula one bit. And that is quite OK because it's a lot of fun. There's pretty much laughter from start to finish. This movie is not trying to be anything than what it is - a mindless Summer horny teenager movie with a ton of jokes. To not like this movie is to admit you're way more serious than you ever thought you were. Time to chill out and this is the perfect movie to accompany you. Directed by J.B. Rogers who also directed Chris Klein in "Say It Isn't So" (2001) which also starred Heather Graham. It's enough to make you wanna join band camp.
