PAY IT FORWARD

I really wanted to like this movie more. I think Kevin Spacey is great and so is Helen Hunt. Add in Haley Joel Osment and you should have something as wonderful as "American Beauty". Plotline aside, this starts out well but turns into a prefab sentimental tearfest. The overall feeling of the movie just did not ring true in my opinion which made the ending even harder to digest. At least Spielberg manipulates you blatently rather than attenpting to pass one by you. Directed by Mimi Leder, who has done "The Peacemaker" and "Deep Impact".
